Your learning.
Your device.
Updated 3 October 2026. This notice describes the free Segmentation Fault Academy website and its early-access lessons.
What the website stores
The sample uses your browser’s local storage to remember lesson progress, points, and your sound preference. These values stay on your device; this website does not send them to a learning server. “Start again” resets lesson progress. Clearing this site’s browser data removes all saved preferences.
Analytics, cookies, and payments
When shared tracking is configured and you give permission, the introductory learning path sends a random browser identifier, visits, lesson starts, task and lesson completions, retries, hints, and lesson difficulty ratings to our feedback store. We do not collect names, email addresses, or written answers. Aggregate insights cover the last 30 days. Event records are retained until the owner deletes them; no automatic deletion schedule is currently configured. You can turn sharing off above the learning path. Turning it off stops future collection; it does not delete previously saved events. Clearing browser data removes the local identifier and progress. No advertising scripts, account registration, or payment collection are included.
Hosting services
Your hosting provider may process IP addresses, request times, device information, and server logs to deliver and secure the website. Its retention rules and any access controls depend on where the website is hosted. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled by the site operator, it reports aggregate page visits, referring sites, device and browser information, and page performance. This package does not embed an advertising tracker.
Future services
If accounts, purchasing, analytics, or cloud learning are added, this notice will be updated to describe those services and relevant choices before they are introduced.
